Health 2.0 Unveling of HealthWorldWeb's Social Decision Support Platform
October 6th was another major milestone for HealthWorldWeb. Dan Kogan unveiled our Social Decision Support Platform at the Health 2.0 Conference in San Francisco. He showcased how a simple thing like searching for a pediatrician on a healthplan website yields unmanageable results.
"With what little air remained in the room, Daniel Kogan of tiny HealthWorldWeb - like Nair, an entrepreneur with a day job - showed what the typical patient looking for a new provider on a health plan web site has to endure, then compared it to the same kind of search informed by actual knowledge of the patient’s wants and needs. The result was a narrowing of results from hundreds of physicians scattered willy-nilly across a market delivered by the health plan, to three physicians, all matched perfectly to the patient’s situation, delivered by the intelligent search."
Many Healthplans are starting to offer Consumer Solutions that provide personalized health portals to engage members, however according to Forrester research these portals contain outdated or irrelevant tools that are actually driving up service costs and turning off customers. These portals license the same health information and provide no or minimal decision making support structure to help healthcare consumers. With our social decision support platform HealthPlans can bring intelligence to their portals and enhance the user experience.
Healthplans, are you ready to go the extra mile and provide a platform where your members can find resources they need based on their own preferences, intents and social interactions?
